Marketing & Communications Consulting for Therapists

Helping therapists strengthen their online presence through Psychology Today optimization, branding, SEO, and authentic website messaging.

I am a licensed mental health professional and marketing and communications consultant specializing in helping therapists, counselors, and private practice owners strengthen their online presence, clarify their clinical niche, and attract aligned clients.

I provide therapist marketing consultation, Psychology Today profile optimization, website copywriting, SEO-informed content strategy, and private practice branding support for clinicians seeking to build sustainable and ethically grounded practices.

My work supports Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPCs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and fully licensed clinicians, as well as group practice owners across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, with virtual services available nationwide.

Professional Background

My background bridges clinical mental health practice and professional healthcare communications strategy. I have worked in public relations, healthcare communications, editing, and change management within organizations such as the National Cancer Institute, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the American Neurological Association. This experience has shaped my ability to translate complex clinical work into clear, accessible, and effective messaging for potential clients.

Over the past six years, I have managed and optimized Psychology Today profiles for approximately 60 therapists and mental health professionals. I have also built and grown my own private practice using SEO-informed content strategy, niche development, and intentional marketing. These efforts have supported consistent multi-year practice growth.

Supporting Therapists and Practice Owners

Many therapists are clinically skilled but struggle with how to communicate their services clearly online. At the same time, many group practice owners carry the added pressure of needing to maintain caseloads for LGPCs and LPCs who require income and clinical hours for licensure.

I support both sides of this challenge by helping:

  • Therapists increase visibility and client alignment

  • LGPCs and LPCs strengthen their online presence early in their careers

  • Group practice owners reduce the pressure of consistently filling caseloads

  • Practices improve referral flow and sustainable client intake systems

My goal is to help reduce the stress practice owners often experience around maintaining caseloads, while also helping associate clinicians build visibility, confidence, and steady referrals as they work toward licensure requirements in DC, MD, and VA.

What I Help With

I work with therapists and group practices on:

  • Psychology Today profile writing and optimization

  • Therapist website copywriting and editing

  • SEO for private practice websites

  • Niche development and ideal client clarity

  • Branding and messaging for therapists and group practices

  • Blog writing for SEO and online visibility

  • Marketing strategy for private practice growth

  • Improving referral systems and client conversion pathways

My Approach

Effective therapist marketing is not about exaggeration or performance. It is about clarity, alignment, and connection.

I help therapists move from:

  • broad, unclear descriptions
    to

  • specific, grounded messaging that reflects their clinical strengths and the clients they are best suited to serve

This process helps clinicians communicate more confidently while ensuring that potential clients can actually find and understand their services.

Who I Work With

I work with:

  • Private practice therapists

  • Group practice owners

  • Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPCs)

  • Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs)

  • Mental health professionals in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC

Why This Work Matters

Many excellent clinicians struggle not with clinical skill, but with visibility and communication. Without clear messaging and SEO-informed positioning, potential clients may not find or fully understand their services.

My goal is to help therapists build practices that are both clinically meaningful and sustainably visible—while also supporting practice owners in reducing the operational stress of maintaining caseloads and supporting associate clinicians.
