Supervision Approach: I use Psychotherapy Based Supervision Approaches that are rooted in Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Therapy; Feminist Model of Supervision: Feminist theory affirms that the personal is political; that is, an individual’s experiences are reflective of society’s institutionalized attitudes and values; Multicultural/Diversity Supervision: In Multicultural supervision, the supervisor assists supervisees with increasing their awareness about race/ethnicity while also promoting awareness of cultural differences between supervisor and supervisee and betweensupervisee and client (Bernard & Goodyear, 2009); and Bernard’s Discrimination Model: The Discrimination Model, an integrative approach, was originally published by Janine Bernard in 1979 and is comprised of three separate tenets (i.e., intervention, conceptualization, and personalization) and three possible supervisor roles (i.e., teacher, counselor, and consultant) (Bernard & Goodyear, 2009).
Fees: I use Psychotherapy-Based Supervision Models during virtual supervision sessions which are $130 per 55 minutes with an additional $50 per month for notes review. If a supervisee fails to cancel a previously scheduled supervision appointment 48 hours or less, there is a fee of $130. If a supervisee does not show up within 5 minutes of the scheduled supervision time, the supervisor will log off and the supervisee will be charged $130.
Payments for supervision: Payment for each supervision session is due at the beginning or the end of each supervision appointment payment will be made electronically using a debit or credit card. The supervisor will have to complete a credit card authorization form.
Supervisee Malpractice Insurance: All clinical supervisees must provide proof of an active malpractice / liability insurance.
Supervisee Licensure: All clinical supervisees must provide proof of an active licensure which is in good standing.
Frequency of supervision: All supervisees must attend at least one supervision session per week.
Access to documentation: Also provide these and their employers, must provide me with access to their clinical documentation for the purpose of ensuring proper documentation.
Clinical documentation- Diagnostic Assessment: the supervisee will have a diagnostic write-up completed by the second appointment. an initial draft of the diagnostic write-up will be available following the first appointment.
Clinical documentations - progress notes: the supervisee will have notes for the week in the electronic health record no later than 8:00 p.m. on the Friday of each week.
Format of supervision: All clinical supervision is provided virtually via fairness or Google meet.
