You are not your problems and there is no shame in wanting and receiving support. Here are some ways our affiliated providers can help.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
We specialize in helping individuals struggling with anxiety, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depression. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings and discuss their concerns with a compassionate and qualified therapist. Each therapist's approach is holistic and personalized to your unique development, social and cultural background and identities. Together, you will work to address any underlying issues and develop coping strategies that can help reduce symptoms and promote overall wellness.
VIRTUAL COUNSELING
Once you have a confirmed appointment, you will be sent an email confirmation with the link to your telehealth meeting room. You will click on this link from the device you want to use (laptop, tablet, or phone) and this will put you in the provider’s meeting room. When they are ready to see you, they will begin the session. You will see the provider and yourself on the screen. The connection uses a web based video service secured with SSL, so the video is fully secure. The provider will have already received your initial paperwork and based on that information will begin collaborating with you. They will take and save notes on the session, so whether you see them again or another provider, the information from the session is stored within our secure, HIPAA-compliant medical record. At the conclusion of the session the provider will schedule a follow-up appointment, if appropriate, and can do so while you are still in the video call. You will then exit the video.
TRAUMA THERAPY
Our trauma therapy services provide a safe and supportive environment to help you heal and overcome the effects of trauma. The providers specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based treatment for trauma that helps to safely reprocess and reduce negative emotional responses. As EMDR is only one way to work through trauma, the providers also offer psychodynamic and psychoanalytic counseling approaches to help process and/or identify and implement adaptive skills to help you build resilience and cope with the impact of trauma in all it's forms.
1
Psychosocial Interview
A psychosocial and diagnostic assessment is a holistic questionnaire that our providers use with individuals seeking treatment for mental health and psychological challenges. It is a comprehensive questionnaire about a person’s health, past experiences, and overall sense of well-being. From an intake appointment intake to termination of treatment, the clinical interview is a constant.
2
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
Mental health assessment and diagnosis are conducted to determine the presence, severity, frequency, and duration of a broad range of cognitive, emotional and behavioral symptoms and impairments. We utilize more open-ended, clinician-led conversations in conjunction with quantitatively designed auxiliary questionnaires
3
Treatment Planning & Intervention
The therapeutic relationship is client centered. Effective treatment is driven by the relationship between client and therapist. In treatment planning, you specify the goals you have for therapy and we collaborate to identify and implement interventions to help you reach these goals. A treatment serves as a guideline for individual sessions.
4
Termination/Discharge
We engage in conversation about discharge planning with clients well prior to the planned discharge date. We identify and troubleshoot potential difficulties you may encounter and identify actionable steps and accessible resources. We collaborate in developing a plan for continuing adherence to your treatment goals.
