Providing virtual therapy to Virginia residents only. Accepts United Healthcare, Aetna, CareFirst/Anthem/BlueCross BluShield and Cigna Insurance only.
I provide virtual counseling to diverse individuals who have reached a point where they know they can’t keep carrying everything on their own anymore—even if they’re not fully sure what they need yet.
Our work may include learning how to slow down anxious thinking, strengthen boundaries and exploring any anxiety that leads to people pleasing or rejection sensitivity, improve communication by exploring previous experiences with conflict or unmet needs, process past experiences that inform current response and reactions to stress or distress, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress. I also focus on helping clients build self-trust and feel more emotionally steady when life feels uncertain. Therapy with me is collaborative and is about ensuring that you feel understood, supported, and gradually more confident in your ability to navigate your emotions, relationships, and everyday stressors.
I work with individual who feel stuck in cognitive, relational, emotional and behavioral patterns—daydreaming, impulsivity, avoidance or procrastination, anger, conflict, shame, resentment, fatigue, emotional distance, worrying, negative thoughts—they understand but struggle to change. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety that shows up as overthinking, racing thoughts, or difficulty relaxing. Others are dealing with depression that impacts motivation, self-worth, or their ability to feel present and engaged in daily life. Some are processing past experiences or trauma that continue to affect their relationships, emotional safety, and confidence. Life transitions, relationship stress, and burnout are also common reasons clients reach out, especially when everything starts to feel heavy at once.
I offer a space where you can talk openly without feeling judged, pitied, rushed, or misunderstood. My approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that therapy should feel both supportive and useful, a place where you feel heard while also gaining tools that help outside of session. I believe that growth in therapy is about small shifts, understanding yourself more clearly, responding differently to stress, and learning to treat yourself with the same care you offer others.Through our collaborative therapy process, you'll better understand what you’re experiencing and develop ways to respond that feel more manageable. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based and other approaches in a way that feels natural rather than rigid. Together, we explore thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress while building coping strategies that support emotional balance and confidence.
You deserve a space where you don’t have to minimize what you’re feeling or pretend you’re okay when you’re not. Therapy offers a chance to slow down, sort through what’s been weighing on you, and feel supported in a way that is both compassionate and practical. I aim to create an environment where you can show up as you are, overwhelmed, uncertain, guarded, hopeful, or somewhere in between. There is no expectation to have everything figured out. Healing often starts with simply allowing yourself to be honest and supported.
I attended Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Social Work where I earned a Master of Social Work (Advanced Standing Program) with a Clinical Concentration and currently practice mental health counseling under clinical supervision
